π Work abroad
Finding a job overseas safely: official offices, how to spot illegal recruiters, and working in Poland.
β οΈ Before you apply
- Check the agency's licence on the DMW website β a real agency has a DMW licence number.
- Do not pay a placement fee before you have a contract, and get a receipt for every payment.
- Be careful with recruiters who only talk to you on Facebook or Messenger, or ask you to travel as a tourist and work later.
- Keep copies of your contract, passport and visa, and know your embassy's contact details.

π΅π± Working in Poland
Foreigners working in Poland need the right permit: in most cases the Polish employer applies for a work permit at the regional voivode office, and the worker then applies for a national (type D) visa at the Embassy of Poland in Manila. Check the current rules on the official Polish government pages above, and go through a DMW-licensed agency or a direct hire processed by the DMW.
