Travel news Cebu recorded 1,080,809 tourist arrivals from January to August 2026, up 12.78 percent or 122,492 visitors from the same period in 2025, SunStar reported. Domestic arrivals reached 838,575, while foreign arrivals grew 27.28 percent to 242,108, led by visitors from South Korea, the United States and Japan. Cordova topped local destinations with 171,552 tourist arrivals.
