    🚆 Metro Manila Subway (Phase 1) under construction

    DOTr said in July 2026 the subway is about 60% complete, with a demonstration run on the Valenzuela–Quirino section expected by 2028.

    🚆 North–South Commuter Railway (NSCR) under construction

    The 147-km Clark–Calamba commuter line was 62% complete in July 2026; Malacañang moved full operation to Q3 2033, with Valenzuela–Malolos to open first in December 2027.

    🚆 MRT Line 7 under construction

    The 23-km San Miguel-financed line from North Avenue to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan was 89% complete in July 2026, with operations targeted for Q2 2027.

    ✈️ New Manila International Airport (Bulacan) under construction

    San Miguel targets the first of four runways by end-2028 and full completion around 2032, but says a shortage of suitable fill sand is delaying work.

    💧 Kaliwa Dam (New Centennial Water Source) under construction

    The P15.3-billion, 60-m dam with a 27.7-km tunnel to supply 600 million litres a day to Metro Manila was 26% complete at end-2025, targeting 2028.

    🛣️ SLEX Toll Road 4 (Sto. Tomas–Tiaong) under construction

    DPWH data in June 2026 put the Sto. Tomas–Makban package at 43.70%, Makban–San Pablo at 77.42% and San Pablo–Tiaong at 95.54% complete.

    Rehabilitation of the EDSA bridge over the Pasig River, with detour bridges first, could be deferred to 2027 according to former DPWH Secretary Bonoan.
